The cost of pest control in The Sunshine Coast will vary from company to company, with your general pest treatment which covers ants, cockroaches, spiders ranging from $100 to $350
You may ask whats the differance, well your $100 treatment may not cover ants, it may not come with a warranty so you may start having problems and end up paying again in the same year.
Your $350 dollar treatment is where some of the larger compaines are going these days, they may have bigger overheads then some smaller operators and may try to sell you that they have a secret sauce but really, most operators are using they same if not similar products and while treatments styles may vary most will be very similar. We all go to the same industry conferances and buy from the same chemical suppliers, alot of smaller operators started out with larger compaines so may offer a very similar service.
Compaines may charge more and do a more throrough treatment, so time spent doing the treatment is important its where you get the most value for your dollar.
An important thing you should consider when booking is do they offer a warranty or free service period if you start to encounter reinfestation of pests they come back for free this will save you money over time as you may only need to pay once a year with some compaines and they are happy to come back and treat problems to build a lasting relationship.
Also what pests are they treating for, you don't want to pay for pest control to find out later when ants are running all over your house that your treatment didn't cover ants.
  • You can ask questions like what areas will be treated?
  •  How long should I expect the technician to take?
  • Also do you need to do anything to prepare?
Also the company should legally send you a pre treatment advice this is a requirement from Qld Health that will outline things like what you should do to prepare for your treatment and then you should be given a post treatment notice, which will outline what products were used and where. Any pest control opertator not giving you any paperwork other than an invoice I would steer clear of as if they aren't following industry guidelines anf they may be cutting corners in other areas too or even not be insured.
Our price list is below this will give you an idea of what a owner operator charges who has worked for big compaines in the past.

Things To Ask When Bookings

  • Ask what pests are covered in the treatment

  • Ask what warranty they offer/ how long

  • Ask what areas they treat (some might only do the inside for example)

  • Ask how long their technican should take.

  • Ask what should I do to prepare.

  • Tell them about any pets you may have.
